You’ve seen a lot of my dog, Jazzy, in my last few posts. When I’m at home, she’s never very far. She’s not overly clingy, and doesn’t need to be IN my lap like some dogs, but she’s never very far away. She’s gotten pretty used to “it’s time for my photoshoot” drill. When she sees the camera, she gets into her spot. I think she think it’s HER photoshoot! Here’s the first shot, she’s got her POSE down!
With the high slits on both thighs, this maxi skirt reminds me of the time Angelina Jolie wore the black dress with the super HIGH slit to the Academy Awards earlier this year. LOTS of leg. Although I’m NOT sticking my leg out that far, the potential IS there!
The other really great thing about this skirt is that the lining is actually a pair of shorts. So, there’s no accidental wardrobe malfunctions of the lady parts – if you know what I mean!
Since it was warm, but a little humid yesterday, I wanted to stay cool and comfortable, and this sheer maxi skirt was perfect!
This summer has been the summer of maxi skirts! To be honest, I didn’t jump on that trend at first, because I’m short and long skirts have always made me feel even shorter. BUT, when I purchased my first maxidress this season (you can see it here) I was HOOKED. The maxi skirt was my new best friend! And you’ll want one too, especially when you walk, and it follows you so beautifully like this:
And guess what happens when you twirl?
You relive THAT feeling.
You know, that feeling when you were a little girl and got your first twirly skirt? You twirled and twirled until you got dizzy and almost threw up? THAT feeling. THAT was the moment I fell in love with fashion.
Do know that feeling? It’s pure fun!
YEAH. That’s how this skirt makes me feel. FUN. GOOD. HAPPY. I haven’t had this much fun twirling around in a while! And how does it make me feel when I’m walking down the street?
